Beetlelady.com Redesign for Dr. Stephanie Dole

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Stephanie Dole—aka Beetlelady—for nearly eight years now, and from the very beginning, I was struck by her passion for bugs and her unique ability to share that love with absolutely anyone. Whether it’s a casual chat in a coffee shop or a full-blown presentation to a room of curious kids, Stephanie brings the same infectious energy and genuine wonder to every interaction.

I even had the joy of booking her for my son’s birthday party, where she wowed the crowd with live insects, stunning visuals, and a deep well of knowledge. It’s no exaggeration to say she turned a group of squirmy kids into fascinated entomologists for the day.

Our first creative collaboration was one of my favorite print projects to date: a series of large-scale signage pieces for her pop-up bug museum. So when Stephanie reached out to redesign her website, beetlelady.com, I couldn’t have been more excited.

We dug into all the fun assets we’ve created together over the years—bug illustrations she uses on her merch and stickers, a custom repeat pattern I designed for her tablecloth, and some incredible close-up photography, including tender images of her own son’s hands gently cradling insects.

This redesign was not just about refreshing her online presence; it was about capturing the joy, curiosity, and educational spirit that Stephanie brings to everything she does. I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, and I hope the new Beetlelady.com inspires even more people to fall in love with the fascinating world of bugs.
